The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation is thrilled to announce that “Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution”, a retrospective about Bill’s extraordinary life, will open to the public on Thursday May 7th 2015 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The exhibit will remain at the Skirball Cultural Center until October, and will then travel to other locations including stops at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco in early 2016, and the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Museum in Cleveland OH.

In honor of this, three brand new posters were commissioned from legendary poster artists, Bonnie MacLean, Randy Tuten and David Singer.

Thanks to everyone at the Skirball Cultural Center and on the BGMF Board who have been working so hard on this!

We hope everyone has a chance to get to the Center and explore it in the months to come!

Bill Graham Memorial Foundation in the News

Through the folks at Earthisland.org who transform street utility boxes in Berkeley and Oakland CA from those hulking gray masses to a myriad of colorful messages commemorating various events, concepts and people, there is now a Bill Graham commemorative box at 17th St. and Broadway in "Uptown Oakland" right near some of the buildings memorialized on the box. From the Oakland Coliseum, to the Henry J Kaiser Auditorium and the beautiful Paramount Theatre, many a wonderful night was had in Oakland over the years; and the Fox Theatre is also included in a nod to the present. BGMF thanks everyone at Earth Island, our own Arlene O for her direction on this project, and the wonderful local artist, Gale Madyun, who was chosen to represent the spirit of Bill Graham in this way.
